How to make an Outstanding Tiny Desk AI video
Updated October 30, 2026
Use Tiny Desk AI Generator to put selected faces into the preset Outstanding band performance. This guide follows the actual upload, role-selection, credit and download controls on tinydeskaigenerator.org. You provide photos; the reference video and editing instructions are already configured.
What you need
- A photo of each person you want in the band, up to five
- Coaches, players and celebrities are fine. No one under 18
- $9.98 for one video, the same for 1 to 5 people (pricing)
Step 1: Pick the photos
Choose one sharp, front-facing photo for each adult you want to add. JPEG, PNG and WebP are accepted. Keep the face unobstructed and use a photo you have permission to use. On a computer, the phone-upload QR option lets you send photos from your phone to the same stage.
Step 2: Cast the band
The stage starts with five dogs. Tap lead, sax, keys or either backing singer to upload a replacement photo. Leaving a dog keeps it in the cast; × on your own photo restores the dog, and × on a dog retains the original performer. Drag assigned photos between roles to move or swap them. At least one photo of your own is required to generate.
Step 3: Make the video
Confirm the adult-only parody checkbox and press Make. Sign in when prompted and buy a one-time credit pack if your balance is insufficient. Check the selected faces before starting. The render runs in the background; return with the same account to check its progress.
Step 4: Download and post
Download the finished vertical MP4 with reference audio, or choose the separate silent copy. Watch the complete result before sharing it as an obvious personal parody. If a social platform mutes the music, use the silent copy and add audio from that platform’s library where permitted.
Which photo works best
- One face per photo, looking at the camera. Crop group shots down to one person
- Sharp and evenly lit. Window light beats a dark bar
- No sunglasses, masks, hands or hair over the face
- No cartoons, heavy beauty filters or AI avatars
- Plain clothes help: logos and big prints can bleed into the shot
What you get
- A 9:16 MP4 at 720p, about 18 seconds, with the song and no watermark
- A silent copy, for when TikTok or Instagram mutes the song
- Allow approximately 7–10 minutes; provider queues can take longer. Return with the same account to check progress and retrieve the result.
- The mouth moves on the beat of the original performance: close, not perfect
If it doesn't come out right
Most problems come from the photo. Here's what to look for and what to do:
- The face doesn't look like them: use a sharper, front-facing photo with nothing over the face
- A logo or print shows up on their clothes: use a photo in plain clothes
- The original singer is still there, or the new face only appears after a few seconds: email us and we return the credits
- Anything else clearly broken: email us and we return the credits
Timing your post
The trend runs on sports weekends: new versions with that week's losing coaches show up after Saturday's college games and Sunday's NFL slate. Office, family and group-chat versions work any day.
Tutorial questions
What do I need to make an Outstanding Tiny Desk AI video?
Use a clear adult face photo for each role you want to replace, from one to five, plus paid generation credits. No CapCut file, written prompt or separate editing app is required.
Which AI model makes the Tiny Desk videos?
Kuaishou Kling 4.0 in edit mode, at 720p: the whole clip in one pass.
How long does it take?
Usually about 7–10 minutes, with longer waits possible during provider queues. Rendering continues after you close the page; sign back in with the same account to check it.
Does the lip sync match the song?
Closely, not perfectly. The singer's mouth follows the original performance, so it moves on the beat. If it's clearly off, email us and we return the credits.
Why did my face not come out right?
Usually the photo: sunglasses, a hand or hair over the face, a side profile, a group shot or a heavy filter. Use one sharp, front-facing face. If the video is clearly broken, email us and we return the credits.
Can I make it myself with Seedance or another AI video model?
A separate video-editing model can be used if it supports reference-video editing and face references. Its input limits, pricing and processing steps vary by provider. This site packages a specific preset performance and five cast roles into one browser workflow; it is not a general-purpose video editor.
